CELPIP-General assesses listening, reading, writing and speaking. General LS assesses listening and speaking. They are separate products, so the shorter name “CELPIP” is not enough information to choose a booking or voucher.

Prepare for the actual testing experience
CELPIP’s provider describes computer-delivered tasks. Familiarise yourself with responding on a computer and review the practice material for the correct version. For General, preparation needs to cover all four skills rather than only conversational speaking.

- Practise clear spoken responses within the task instructions.
- Include typing and proofreading practice if your test includes writing.
- Plan your test-day travel and check-in around the actual appointment.
Avoid using a practice score or an informal comparison table as a decision about application eligibility. The receiving organisation sets its requirements.
Booking from India: what to confirm
Identify the required version
Write down the exact test and required results from the organisation handling your application.
Check the provider’s locations
Confirm the country, centre and dates for that version. If travel is involved, account for it before paying.
Review ID and booking terms
Read the provider’s current identification, registration and change policies for your appointment.
Compare like-for-like prices
Verify currency, code eligibility and whether the offer covers the whole test fee.
Save your confirmation
Keep the provider-issued booking details and the receipt from any separate voucher seller.
A voucher does not create a place at a centre or override the provider’s availability. If the location is essential, investigate it before buying a code.
